In the unplayable bowling series ,we look at the lethal deliveries by bowlers of South Africa and England in this blog. While there were many candidates, we tried to select the very best and got some of their best deliveries on display.
Bob Willis : Due to his height he could make the ball bounce off a good length steeply and at high pace as the Aussies found out at Leeds 1981
Ian Botham : His forte was swing in favourable English conditions . Here he gets Greenidge with a beauty of an outswinger.
Darren Gough : A live wire fast bowler and can bowl short balls with equal measure as his famed yorkers.
Andrew Flintoff : Bowls at high pace and great control as Ponting found out with this unplayable delivery.
James Anderson : The master of swing. Can alone destroy batting lineups in swinging conditions. Here Maccullum was stunned with this skilful delivery.
Stuart Broad : Decent pace, movement, hostility, he has got it all and lethal against left handers as Aussies found out repeatedly.
Allan Donald : The white lightning. Express pace ,sharp movement and an intimidating presence as Sachin found out as he gets knocked over by an absolute gem.
Shaun Pollock : Very accurate, McGrath type. Hussain had no clue to this short lifter.
Makhaya Ntini : Was sharp and can produce that unplayable delivery as the Wall found out to his dismay.
Dale Steyn : The modern master in all conditions. One of the all time greats. Pujara had no clue to this delivery.
Morne Morkel : Was tough to face with his bounce and accuracy . Absolutely worked over Cook here.
Kagiso Rabada : The future of South African attack . His short ball was too good for Srilankan batter in the footage.
In the concluding part of this series ,we shall get the fast bowling demons from carribean.
